30 November 2014: Short Eared Owl at Hawling, Gloucestershire.

Another trip to Hawling to see the Short Eared Owl, in search of aerial combat or prey shots. A beautiful sunny morning cahnged to a cold grey afternoon as the wind came out of the NorthEast. The owls must have felt it too as they didn't come out till almost 3pm.

 I had to dial in some exposure compensation to fight the gloom.

 Combat with a corvid

 Then the sun dipped between the cloud layer and the horizon, casting a wonderful red glow over the last few pictures of the owls.
