24 November 2014: Short Eared Owls at Hawling, Gloucestershire

I chose the same location as yesterday for tonight's session.
First owl settling on the wall for a quick brush up.

Skylark, up over and away.

Male Stonechat just a tad too sunwards for us

And then the Owl session started.

Stonechats still out and about

Aerial combat

A distant flock of Golden Plover I believe

Thsi Owl has a vole but ois being harrassed by a Raven. He eventually drops the vole in a field to evade the Raven, then dives down to retrieve it and makes off with it into the gathering night.
