13 December 2014: Yet more Short Eared Owls at Hawling, Gloucestershire

Another short visit to Hawling to catch the Owls. They usually show everyday but the time does vary by quite a bit, probably dependant on the weather. The sunnier and stiller the day, it seems , the earlier they come out. As it was, today they tended towards the side of the field that was out of my range(-:).

 I did managed to photograph one in the grass, something that you don't see from the other side of the field because all of the grass is so long.

 Lots of Meadow Pipit perpetually moving in and out of the grass, probably feeling rather insecure.
