19 December 2014: A first Dartford Warbler and it's in Cheltenham.

This was my second visit to catch up with a male Dartford Warbler, the first I have ever seen, which has been spotted in the local council park in Cheltenham. This is the first year that the council had planted this end of the park with wildflowers in the hope of encouraging some sort of wildlife and, as part of the process, they have left naturally wild over the winter - lots of dead sed heads etc. Over the last week or so a pair of Stonechat and a male Dartford Warbler have moved in.It's quite interesting to watch teh Stonechat flitting about from the top of one seedhead to another and the Warbler following after, but keeping a much lower profile., only occasionally showing a little more in the open. I did manage to get one spell of good show combined with good light.
There's really nothing else to say other than post the pictures in chronological order so that you can see how the weather changed over the watching period.
